Here is the LAST chapter of the ark. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it!

9

They worked and worked on the ark for the last couple days, finally God said,” We are done, you must stay tonight and tomorrow it will start raining and there will be a flood, all animals that are good will go on the ark and will be saved along with all of you, Jefferson family,”

All of them were so shocked because of how fast time had traveled; they thought they at least had another day or two.

That night they went to sleep to get a good rest before the big day tomorrow.

“Do you think we will be all right?” Adam asked Mrs. Jefferson.

“Yes, I know that with God, he won’t let us down,” she answered.

After those few sentences they all fell asleep and dreamt of everything that could happen to them on the ark. They dreamt that what if there was a leak in the side of the ark and they all drowned. They also thought that the ark could travel safely and have no troubles. But then they remembered, what if there is a leak and the dreamt everything all over again.

They kept dreaming and dreaming until Stuart couldn’t take it anymore. He woke up, and called for God. “God,” he asked, “I can’t sleep, can we talk?”

“About your dreams?” God asked.

“How did you know?” Stuart asked.

“Remember, I know everything from the past to right into the future,” God answered.

“I just keep thinking that something will happen and nobody will survive,” Stuart said.

“When you are in my care, nobody will die or get hurt,” God said, “Now let your dreams vanish,”

“Thank you, God,” Stuart said and walked back to where is family was sleeping. He lied down and had happy dreams. He no longer dreamt that something was going to happen to him and his family.

That morning they all awoke to the feel of raindrops on their foreheads. Stuart stood up and called for God again, “God, now is the time right?”

“Yes,” God answered, “Take this,” God gave him a long wooden staff, “This is to help you with your work,”

“Thank you,” Stuart said.

He walked over to the finished ark and stood by the entrance. He held his staff in his right hand and stamped it on the ground, a few minutes later all good animals came and got into the ark. He wondered what he did and then he got the answer, “When you stamped it on the ground, it made all the animals awake, along with your family,” God said.

As the animals got into the ark he saw his family awake and also come to the ark. He walked toward them and said, “How did you sleep?”

“Good,” they all said at once.

“It’s raining awful hard,” Suzie said.

“Yeah,” Adam agreed.

“It’s God’s plan,” Stuart said.

A few minutes later it started raining harder and harder and soon everyone and everything was one the ark. The water had grown deep and started to go above their knees. Soon God said,” Stuart, stomp your staff again and it will close the door,”

As soon as Stuart heard this he stamped his staff and the door immediately closed. A few more minutes later it started to rain harder and harder and harder! The water covered half of the ark. Soon they started to float away from where they had built the ark. Soon the water got very high and waves splashed against the sides.

“What are we going to do?” Suzie cried.

“Just wait and the rain will stop,” Stuart said.

A few days passed and the rain got worse. It almost tipped over and all of them cried, “Help!” but the were fine. A few more days after the rain stopped, but they were in the middle of no-where.

“What are we going to do?” Adam asked.

“God, we need help!” Stuart cried.

“Send out a dove, when it comes back and it has a piece of wood or leave in it’s beak then there’s land and if it doesn’t, wait a couple more days,” was God’s reply.

So Stuart sent out a dove. After a couple days the dove didn’t come back, “What are we going to do?” Stuart asked God.

“Send out another dove,” God said.

So Stuart sent out another dove.

“When is it going to come back?” asked Adam.

“I don’t know, just have wait,” Stuart said.

The Suzie asked, “Are we ever going to get out of this place?”

“Wait,” was Stuart’s reply.

And then Mrs. Jefferson asked, “Are we going to die?”

“No, mother, all of you need to wait, the dove will come back as soon as it finds land,” Stuart said.

A day later they saw a bird flying in the sky, it stopped on the window of the ark. It had a small piece of a leave in it.

“Land ho!” Stuart cried.

“Great,” everyone said.

But days pasted and still no land and then one day they stopped floating. Stuart looked out the window and saw what was beneath them. A small cliff!

“Guys, we made it!” Stuart said.

Mrs. Jefferson gave a small kiss on her son’s cheek, “ I knew you could do this,” she said.

They opened the door of the ark and all the animals came out. They rolled on the ground and laughed and played.

“I am so glad we reached land again!” Adam said and everyone smiled.
They were so happy that Stuart had done everything right and that they had landed safely. They hugged and thanked everyone and everything. A little while later there was a rainbow in the sky, “I am putting this here to show that I will never flood Jemacore again,”

“Thank you, God,” Stuart said.

“No, thank you. Thank you for doing what’s right,” God said.

“How will we get back home? Adam asked.

Everyone thought and thought but had no idea how they were going to get home. When they went to sleep the next morning they woke up back in Kentucky. They all went downstairs and the trunk and globe was still there.

“I think this was the best time of my life,” Stuart said and everyone agreed.

I really hoped you liked my story!
